Do I need a visa to visit Japan with a India passport?
eVisa
Key entry notes
Residents in India, except those exempted from a short-term visa, will need to submit their documents through VFS.
Residents in Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, UK and US can also apply for a single entry e-Visa for Tourism purposes only and travel to Japan by air.
Passengers transiting to a third country may be granted a Shore Pass on arrival, at the discretion of Japanese immigration, allowing visa-free entry for up to 72 hours when no suitable same-day onward connection is available; a confirmed onward ticket and entry documents for the next destination are required.
